ABOUT ROOTS
At Roots Veterinary Hospital, we believe pets deserve better than corporate medicine. Founded by Dr. Amanda Olsen and team, Roots was created to bring warmth, time, and humanity back to veterinary care. We slow down, listen closely, and pair exceptional medicine with genuine relationships in a calm, welcoming space. Every team member contributes to that mission—and as a Veterinary Technician, your expertise and compassion make it possible.

You are the clinician’s right hand and the patient’s advocate. Your technical skill and empathy bridge the gap between medicine and trust. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
At Roots, we practice relationship-based medicine. That means slowing down and seeing each pet as more than a case file. You play a pivotal role in making that happen—anticipating needs, upholding medical quality, and keeping our environment calm and collaborative. Your focus and precision allow our veterinarians to think deeply, connect fully, and provide the best care possible.
WHO YOU ARE
You’re a skilled and compassionate technician who thrives in a team-centered environment. You communicate clearly, problem-solve under pressure, and approach every challenge with curiosity and care. You take pride in mastering your craft, mentoring others, and finding meaning in the details that make a practice exceptional. You are equal parts clinician, educator, and caretaker.
